The two males fought for several minutes, locking together twice with feet
pressed on to each other's chests,
and ending by swimming side by side, heads down and wings raised in threat to
define an invisible boundary in the water.
The two females stayed close by.

The pair flew round and round at speed, sometimes buzzing each other, sometimes upside-down.

The nose-leaf, and the wings wrapped around the body, are characteristic.
Common Lizard Lacerta vivipara crushing a Longhorn Beetle (Cerambycidae, cf Oxypleurus nodieri), Dordogne
O. nodieri is a "rare Mediterranean longhorn beetle found on pine
trees" in Spain, France, and Greece.
This beetle was found out of the
Mediterranean zone, but in mixed Sweet Chestnut / Maritime Pine woodland in
France, so perhaps it was indeed that species.
